It’s taken me a while to find time to add this amazing session to the journal due to the silly season and all the busy-ness that comes with that, but finally, a moment or two to show you my last session of 2014: pin-up perfection in the shapely form of Wellington pin-up model Anna.
Anna is a seamstress and up-and-coming young designer with her own brand, Xamia Arc Clothing. Anna has a passion for all things vintage; she contacted me to arrange a vintage glamour/pin-up style session, and I was thrilled to oblige.
These types of sessions appeal to the girly girl in me – I love capturing beautiful images of a woman dolled up like a princess for a day, and making the images keep that feeling alive long after the session is over. Anna wore several of her own creations, as well as some outfits that were not her designs, but personal favourites nonetheless.
As a location for our session, we needed to find somewhere special. Botanica Homestay in the beautiful Wellington suburb of Miramar was just the perfect place, with some gorgeous furniture, beautiful light and a lovely garden to draw inspiration from.
It was pretty tough picking favourites from this session, but here they are.
I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed creating them! 🙂
I wish Anna much success with her clothing line and her modelling work!
Wishing you a happy day,
