Babywearing is one thing I have thoroughly enjoyed with my kids. While it wasn’t a “thing” when my girls were little, I still had a front pack that got a lot of use, especially with our second daughter who refused to sleep anywhere but on me for her daytime naps. With my youngest, Master One, I’ve really enjoyed exploring the variety of comfy carriers and wraps available, and the beauty of the fabrics.
Penina is a lovely lady I met through a Kapiti babywearing group. She is the mother of four gorgeous children, including 18 month old twin girls, and an amazingly talented creator of custom baby carriers. Her company, Island Custom, needed photos of her baby carriers in action for their website, Facebook business page and marketing materials. That was my cue!! 🙂 We spent a lovely Golden Hour at a Kapiti Coast beach, shooting Penina’s gorgeous girls in her beautiful carriers. We’re both rather fond of how the photos turned out!! 🙂
Many of the photos were detail shots of the carriers and action shots for an instructional guide on how to use a carrier, but for the purpose of this journal, I’ve chosen my own personal favourites, the “moments” captured during the session.
I hope you enjoyed these photos – I know I enjoyed taking them! Remember I cover Wellington as well as the Kapiti Coast, so if you’re in search of a photographer for your family portraits, in need of some head shots or keen on having your very own Couture photo session, please email me and let’s talk! 🙂
Wishing you a happy day,
