For as long as I have loved this thing called photography, I have loved going exploring with my camera. Sometimes my explorations are small – as small as a patch of grass in my back yard that gets studied through a macro lens. Sometimes I range a little further afield. But as life has gotten busier, time for these quiet times of exploration and reflection has dwindled.
Last week a friend and I decided it was time to go photo-sploring. I needed to stay close to home so we opted for a nice long walk around the Waikanae Estuary and the Otaihanga reserve. Here are some of my favourite shots of the day:
