Earlier this year, I decided to do a small project to try out a different approach to family documentary sessions. I called it the Fun Families project, because I wanted to capture the fun that families have together.
Out of nearly thirty families who applied, I could only offer places to eight, so it was a tough road choosing who to work with – which is why I didn’t choose, I had someone do it for me (because let’s face it, I would have loved to work with everyone!).
Each family received a one hour petite in-home session, and an image reveal session at the end of the day. It was challenging to say the least, to turn around a session in a single day, but it was also a lot of fun meeting all these beautiful families and seeing the things they loved doing together.
Here are some of my favourite images from the Fun Families project; I hope you enjoy them!
